Saint Agnes Catholic Church is excited to announce that it is hosting the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for the 2016-2017 school year.
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based Catholic faith formation program in which children can grow in their relationship with God through a deep engagement in Scripture and Liturgy.
CGS is based on the belief that God and the child are already in relationship. Our work as adults is to provide a place for the child and God to come together and grow in an atrium!
An atrium is a specially prepared room in which children can come to know Jesus, the Good Shepherd. The atrium is prepared with materials that children work with as a way of meditating upon the essentials of our Faith found in Scripture and Liturgy.
Two sections of the Good Shepherd atrium will be offered for children 3-6 years old:
8am-9:30am (to accommodate school families especially) and 10am-11:30am every Wednesday from Sept. 14 through May 3, with seasonal school breaks. The atrium will be housed in the basement of Saint Agnes Church, and will be accessible by the doors for Schuler Hall. Children must be potty trained and independent in the bathroom.
***ONLINE REGISTRATION OPENS June 13 and closes Sept. 1.
All are welcome to apply, but parishioners will be given a discount and priority placement. As the atrium sections are limited to 10-13 children each, it is first come, first served.
The fees are as follows, and are payable online by clicking the link provided when you have completed the form.
Parishioners: first child is $150; second child is $125; third child is $100
Non-parishioners: first child is $175; second child is $150; third child is $125
If you'd like to pay by check, make it out to "Saint Agnes Church," and send it to the Saint Agnes Parish Office, attn: Annamarie Adkins, 535 Thomas Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55103
